How to drink Mocel

Mocel’s artisanal mezcal is best enjoyed neat, accompanied with a mild cheese (fresh cotija, goat or gouda) or sweet bites (apple or blood orange slices sprinkled with sea salt or sal de gusano pair nicely).

The Mocel ceramic bottle and textile

In your premier Mocel shipment, enveloping the sleek Mexican-made ceramic bottle of world class mezcal (not to toot our own horn, but it's good stuff), is another remarkable piece of Mexican culture: a handmade cotton loom deshilado cloth. Deshilado is an artisanal technique for transforming lengths of cotton cloth into elegant, lacy designs by hand. Just like our mezcal, this deshilado cloth is handcrafted in beautiful Michoacán, Mexico.

Our Story

We are sisters, born and raised in rural Washington State and daughters of farmworker immigrants from Michoacán, Mexico, a region with a denomination of origin for mezcal.

Like you, we seek connection with people and the products we consume. At Mocel, we handcraft artisanal spirits that you will be proud to share with others.
